final teaser attempt

 final teaser attempt

This is our final attempt at a teaser, the group came to a decision that is did not come up to the high standard we have already set our selves, so did not include the teaser in distribution.

Here is a wordle i made for our film 'Speed Dial', this includes a selection of words that are key to the film and can add a aspect of mystery to the distribution.

Bedroom scene

 Bedroom Scene

This is another of our final day shooting scenes, in this one we decided to add in another bedroom scene and compare it to the one we already have. After looking at the animation we have decided that it may not have the aspect of comedy that the original bedroom scene has. Although this may look different in editing to we will make the final decision after the final cut.

Living room scene

 Living room scene

This is what one of our scenes will loom like after editing from our final day of editing. As you can see this is a new location with an extra bit of script which should add some more comedy to the film. This gives us an idea of what it will look like and can already start comparing the selection of scenes we have before editing saving us time.

final day filming

 Final day filming

On our final, final day filming we were able to add the finishing touch's to our film, we were able to get some nice shots of the two main characters walking towards the telephone box which works nice in the opening sequence. We also needed to re-shoot some shots of some scenes that we deleted, so had some new adjustments to scenes. This includes shots in cars, bathrooms and another bed room. We will not use all of them but having the option to choosing between two or three can be good when editing. The actors were as brilliant as they were in the first days of filming, and helped set some of the scenes up in communication with the directer.

Evaluation

 Evaluation

1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
- In our film we show two teenage boys being mischievous by bunking school and losing their phone. this is also shown in the back to the future opening.
- We also have modern music which would attract to our target audience, this can also be shown in the back to the future opening.
-We show how old they are by mentioning school and how they have missed it, showing their age. This is also shown in the back to the future opening.
-We do not however show modern clothes as they do in back to the future, as the young boy wears modern clothes from the time, we however have smart casual clothes.

2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?
-Our media product represents teenage boys as being mischievous by bunking school and losing their phone, this can be seen as a stereotype for teenage boys when they are out of school.
-Our product also represents teenage girls as being having more self respect than what other films portray them as.
-It also portrays teenage boys wanting to get with other girls their age and are desperate to get with those girls.
-We also represent that not all teenagers are the stereotype that everyone thinks they are, we done this by having one character the opposite of what people might think.

Further filming

 Further Filming

After looking at our film we decided that maybe we could use some more professional and longer scenes rather then just using lots of scenes in one go. Therefor we have contacted our actors who have agreed for one final filming day, which will take place tomorrow. In this day we will also have a photo-shoot for our advertising campaign, which will include a poster, teaser and trailer.

Further 25 word pitch development

 Further 25 word pitch development

After looking at my previous attempt at a 25 word pitch for our film 'Speed Dial', i decided that i should try and come up with another pitch in order to have a wide range to choose from.

'When Connor and Craig went to make a phone call in a ordinary phone box, they never realised that their lives will change forever'

This was my most recent attempt tat a 25 word pitch, i will now look into either developing this pitch or a previous one.

Teaser attempt: 1

 Teaser attempt: 1

This is my first attempt at making a teaser for our film 'Speed dial', this is not our final attempt but it is a good starter for me to work with. I wanted to have the phone box with an effect like lightning next to it, separating the box from the world. here i used one picture and split it in half with lightening, i feel this shows the power of the box and gives an small insight to the film. However i do not feel it is to the the high standards i have already set my self. Therefore on my next attempt i will try and make the teaser look more professional.

audition advertisement

 Audition Advertised

This is our advertisement campaign we ran in order to attract actors and actress' for our film 'Speed dial'. We put this campaign on the popular casting website 'starnow.com' where actors and actress' can look for roles in small indie films (like our self). As you know this was successful and had more then enough actors and actress' to fill the roles needed and were to our needs.

Teaser

 Creating a Teaser

Here are a few examples of successful film teasers, teasers are used to show a slim insight to the film and attract their target audience. It is not designed to show what the film is about as a hole, but leaves clues which will be answered during the film. It aims to excite the audience in the way to keep them waiting on the film and show them just enough to make them come and watch the film.

As a group we see the benefits of making a teaser, and aim to make one within the next week. In our teaser we want to show the telephone box and with some effects that it is magical. We also want to show the two main characters either inside or outside of the box. The text will be either above or below the box and will include the release date, the two main characters and the director.
